PlaniSense has been honored with the prestigious Gold Award at the CO-CONSTRUCTION challenge. Organized by Republik Supply Chain, the Supply Chain Trophies took place on December 18, in Paris, highlighting innovative solutions in the supply chain.

The winning project, titled "Forvia automates its planning and sets course for operational efficiency with PlaniSense," impressed the jury, composed of eminent professionals such as Lucia Radu from Orange, Jean-Baptiste Minacori from VEEPEE, Maxime Dhaussy from Pepsico, GrĂ©gory Chekroun from Fnac Darty, Cedric Lecolley from GS1, and Bertrand Neyret from Saint Gobain.

Innovation and Operational Efficiency

This project aims to improve operational efficiency in the Forvia group's injection workshops. Thanks to dynamic planning optimized in real time, PlaniSense has been deployed in 10 industrial sites and aims to expand to 70 sites by 2024. The results obtained are impressive, with a 50% reduction in breakdowns, a 4% increase in yield, and a 20% reduction in production costs related to plastic waste.

A Breakthrough in Planning

PlaniSense, in partnership with EuroDecision, has reimagined the planning method at Forvia, replacing a rigid approach with dynamic and optimized management. This new method allows for better responsiveness to unforeseen events and optimization of production aligned with actual demand, thus ensuring more efficient use of resources and an executable schedule.

Ergonomics and Quality

At the heart of PlaniSense is a combination of ergonomics, planning quality, and decision support. Using advanced mathematical optimization methods, PlaniSense analyzes the context to propose optimized production plans. Planners benefit from an intuitive interface to easily adjust the tool's suggestions.

Quantitative and Qualitative Results

Sites equipped with PlaniSense have observed significant improvements, both quantitative and qualitative:

  • 20% reduction in the number of format changes
  • 20% decrease in plastic waste
  • 20% reduction in work in progress
  • 4% improvement in TRS (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
  • 50% reduction in internal breakdowns on assembly lines

Qualitatively, PlaniSense has enabled increased productivity, better responsiveness, enhanced reliability, as well as improved collaboration and harmonization within the Supply Chain

This award illustrates the commitment of PlaniSense and Forvia to innovate and continuously improve production processes, thus demonstrating the positive impact of close collaboration between suppliers and customers.
